Rascal Flatts's "Why," by Kyle Ray. In memory of Phoebe Prince. November 24th, 1994 – January 14th, 1994. I didn't know her. In fact, I never even saw her face in person. But she walked the halls of my high school and taught me something that no teacher ever could. My entire town, including myself, will miss her presence. Keep your opinions about bullying and the controversial accusations against South Hadley to yourself. That's another matter entirely. The purpose of this video is merely to acknowledge her short life, and to shine light on her memory. |

Three 16-year-old girls had their lawyers enter innocent pleas for them Thursday in Franklin-Hampshire Juvenile Court in connection with the bullying of South Hadley High School student Phoebe Prince, who killed herself Jan. 14. Flannery Mullins was arraigned on one charge each of criminal harassment, disturbing a school assembly, civil rights violation with bodily injury resulting, and stalking. Sharon Chanon Velazquez was arraigned on one charge each of criminal harassment, disturbing a school assembly, civil rights violation resulting in bodily injury, and stalking. Ashley Longe was arraigned on one charge each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, criminal harassment, disturbing a school assembly, and civil rights violation with bodily injury resulting. All three are free on personal recognizance. |

www.facebook.com READ THIS DESCRIPTION. Phoebe Nora Mary Prince. Born November 24, 1994. Died way too soon on January 14, 2010. Born in the UK and moved with her family to ireland when she was two. In the fall of 2009, Phoebe, her mother, and 4 siblings immigrated to the USA and settled in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Day after day, week after week, month after month, poor Phoebe was harassed, bullied, and tortured because she was a beautiful young woman( who caught the attention of the high school quarterback) and because she was Irish. On January 14, while walking home from school, one of the female bullies hit her in the head with can. Unable to take any more abuse, she arrived home and hanged herself in a stairway. School officials had been aware of what was going on, but did nothing to stop it. An internal investigation into the whole incident turned up ignorance on the part of the staff. It was a lie. Phoebe had gone to them for help, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Her blood, on their hands. Her soul, with God. Rest In Peace Phoebe. We love you. We miss you. You're safe now.
